Preventive Care and Maintenance
• To help eliminate fine particles or dirt/grit that act like sandpaper and will scratch any floor, vacuum or sweep as needed to avoid build up of abrasive particles.
• Wet maintenance is not recommended. Use only floor cleaners for prefinished hardwood, available from your local retailer or home center.
• Liquid spills should be wiped up as soon as they happen.
• Door mats should be used at room entrances and probable wet spots, like kitchen sinks and outside doors. Avoid non-venting rubber mats.
• In areas of traffic, mats should be used where frequent foot twists occur with tight turns (for example, kitchen sinks, stoves and refrigerators).
• Load dispersing sliders should be installed under heavy furniture.
• Wide casters and a protection roll area pad should be used for rolling furniture.
• Maintain a minimum humidity of 50% to 60% in the room.
Sunlight Exposure
Like a traditional wood floor, your Bamboo floor can fade with extended exposure to sunlight. To prevent fading, your floor should never be exposed to extended direct sunlight. Use curtains, blinds, window treatments or other shading techniques to help minimize the effects of exposure to the sun.
The unique texture of your Natural Bamboo floor varies from plank to plank, which enhances the look of your floor.
